About SMPDC

Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission (SMPDC) is a non-partisan, non-profit agency that cultivates thriving, sustainable communities and strengthens local governments by leading planning and economic development for 39 towns in Southern Maine. Created by state-statue, the organization was founded in 1964. The region encompasses all of York County, and part of southern Oxford county.
