KACTS Safety Action Plan Public Meeting

Please join the Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission (SMPDC) for a Public Meeting on Thursday, February 29 at Kennebunk High School.

The meeting will begin at 6:00pm and will cover the Kittery Area Comprehensive Transportation System (KACTS) Regional Safety Action Plan. The plan is being developed with the goal of significantly reducing or eliminating roadway fatalities and serious injuries by transforming how the system is designed, operated, and managed through the application of a Safe System approach and the implementation of Vision Zero principles in York County.

This initial meeting will include a review of the study’s scope and intent, recent crash data and trends, contributing factors in fatal and severe injury crashes, maps of the High-Injury and High-Risk Networks, and interactive polling, concluding with a question and answer period.

The meeting will begin promptly at 6:00pm. Meeting attendees are welcome to arrive early to view exhibits and speak with members of the project team.
